The Music Workshop have produced the master copy of the recorded songs – together with the album artwork. The material will be posted to the group on Friday 31st March 2017.

We have received an enquiry for a performance at this care home in Swindon.
The home specialises in nursing and dementia care.
The group have reviewed the latest mix of tracks for the next album and are in agreement that we should go ahead into production with this version.
Music Workshop have been requested to produce a ‘master’ copy of the album. Album notes and a suitable photograph have been supplied to enable the album artwork to be completed.
We have received an invitation to perform on Thursday 27th July 2017 for the North Wilts Holiday Club – the charitable group that organises Summertime activities for children and young adults based St Nicholas’s School in Chippenham.
They are holding a party for the children and young adults on that date, and our group will entertain them. This is a similar event to one that was arranged in 2016, and it is a suitable occasion for our group to present its annual cheque to the charity.
Roger Whitehouse and Keith Clifford spent four hours at the studios today with recording engineer Pete Lamb.
We listened to the latest version of the songs for the forthcoming album Golden Tracks, re-balancing some of the vocals and in one case recording further tenor vocals.
Pete was able to provide a CD of the revised recordings, and this will be studied by the group before a decision is taken whether to go ahead with reproduction of the album. Pete will need to be provided with the artwork and playing order before a master copy is produced.
Recording engineer Pete Lamb has written to say he has addressed the points raised about the preliminary release. Roger Whitehouse and Keith Clifford will travel to his studio in Potterne tomorrow to listen to the updated songs.
Today we sang for the residents of the Fairways Care Home in Chippenham. There were many familiar faces around the room, and we were informed that today was the birthday of resident Val. She is well known to us from previous visits as she dances to most of our songs.
We sang happy birthday to Val at the start of the performance, and later repeated the gesture for staff member Hannah who her 25th birthday in a few days time.
We started our programme with the song Hello Mary Lou which was familiar to all the residents. That was followed by the Beatles song Eight Days A Week – with the residents being invited to clap along to the rhythm demonstrated by band member Roger Whitehouse. At the end of the song June expressed her frustration by stating that the music was great apart from ‘that b******y clapping’ – a remark that had us all in fits of laughter!
Group members Dave Sperritt and Dave Hackett could not be with us for the performance.
The absence of any percussion sounds affected the choice of songs for the performance. The full programme was as follows.
1) Hello Mary Lou
2) Eight Days A Week

4) Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
5) Georgy Girl

The TTBB music for the song ‘The Wonder Of You’ has been ordered from Banks Music Publications. The music was written by Baker Knight and has been arranged for TTBB male voices by Alwyn Humphreys.
Elvis recorded the song in February 1970 and it proved to be one of his most successful hits in the UK – topping the singles chart for 6 weeks.
Eleven copies are being obtained at a cost of £21.75. EOTT have been singing the song at their last few performances, and it is hoped that the music score will help to enhance the vocal harmonies of this Elvis classic.
The recording engineer Pete Lamb has identified Wednesday 22nd March 2017 as the date set aside for the remixing of the tracks for our next album Golden Tracks.
Having listened to the first-cut mix of recordings for the next album a decision has been made to reduce the overall number of tracks from 18 to 16. Further mixing will take place next week to produce a better balance of vocals and backing sounds.
Meanwhile, a running order for the album has been determined as follows:-

3) With A Little Help From My Friends
